THE PHIL JONES STORY PART 2

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO MAY HAVE MISSED YESTERDAY'S PART 1, READ IT FIRST.
THE STORY CONTINUES.....
WE HAD RESEARCHED BLUES MUSIC AND MADE CONTACT WITH SUN STUDIOS IN MEMPHIS AND STAX RECORDS. WE SENT THEM A LETTER WITH A MONEY ORDER, TELLING THEM WE WERE AUSSIE SCHOOL KIDS WITH A FACINATION FOR BLUES. THEY SENT US A TREASURE TROVE OF FANTASTIC BLUES 45'S THAT WOULD BE WORTH A FORTUNE NOW. ARTISTS LIKE SONNY TERRY AND BROWNIE MCGEE, JOHN LEE HOOKER, HOWLIN' WOLF, LOUISIANA RED, BOOKER T AND THE MG'S, ROBERT JOHNSON, JOSH WHITE, LEAD BELLY AND MANY MORE.
NOW, CONSIDER MIDDLE CLASS SUBURBIA, (IE EARLWOOD) CIRCA 1965! THE INITIAL RESPONSE WAS "THIS IS REALLY WEIRD". THERE WERE A LOT OF BEMUSED AND CONFUSED LOOKS, BUT AFTER A WHILE, THE TIDE TURNED AND WE GAINED A LOYAL FOLLOWING."
